Well folks, the big interview is here, although it turned out to be far more than a simple interview. Benjamin Grundy, the mastermind behind the Mysterious Universe podcast, stopped in and the result is an absolutely dynamite show. This episode truly does cover it all, from the paranormal to Hong Kong action flicks. Ben was a fantastic guest, opinionated and outspoken. There are spooky stories, funny discussions and dynamic  analysis about every aspect of our world and what lies beyond. Due to the length of the show, and the incredibly long process of editing it, this show will cover this week and next, cause I need a weekend off. In the meantime, hope you enjoy this show as much as we did!

I totally disagree with the premise that the world has gotten worse. I\'m 47, and when I was born there was institutionalized racism in the United States; homosexuality was widely criminalized; comedians like Lenny Bruce were jailed for doing obscene jokes; on TV you couldn\'t show a husband and wife sharing a bed; more than half the world\'s population lived under the tyranny of repressive, murderous right- or left-wing dictatorships; it was considered a breakthrough when a Roman Catholic was elected president; my grandfather died at 60 from a heart condition which could now be easily treated; a home computer was unthinkable; etc.

I don\'t want to minimize the amount of awfulness in the world today -- billions of people live in desperate poverty; genocides in Africa continue to be ignored by the \"civilized\" world; religious fundamentalism thrives from Iran to Idaho; in America the poor are getting poorer and the middle class is struggling... and the leader of the world\'s most powerful nation is a semi-retarded maniac.

People have been complaining about declining morals and the rudeness of the younger generation since the days of the Roman Empire. The truth is that some things are getting better, while other things are getting worse, and it\'s always been that way. We are facing terrible threats from terrorists with WMD\'s, global warming, environmental devastation and unknown diseases. Our species will be lucky to get out of this century alive, with our civilization intact and anything left of the natural world. But otherwise things have never been better.

I\\\'ve also listened to both since the beginning. I agree with Chris. It is bizarre that you both crossed paths. Benjamin nailed it when he said that whatever topic is discussed on the Ozone is stuff he likes. Exponential Growth BOYZE!

Well, I finally got to listen to all 3 hours! I was very pleased! Great show guys!
As always opening my mind to new things. You guys are half of the random wierd facts/ideas that I get exposed to! I know, sad, that my sheltered life is so influenced by my pod-cast subs.

Thanks again!

P.S. sorry to hear that Ben is married... what a voice /wink

I have lstened to both shows since pretty much the begining and I have written in to both shows a few times. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for interviewing Benjamin Grundy.
I\'ve never heard of your podcast, but now that I\'ve been introduced, I will check out some of your other episodes.

This was a great podcast for MU fans, and it was wonderful hearing such a fluid open dialogue.

hi! great interview. however, joe, you left me perplexed when you stated you did not understand \"the moment\", and how it didn\'t exist. how is this transition you speak of not the moment?
